Microblading FAQ

How long does the microblading last?

This varies from person to person, everyone's results last a different amount of time. A color refresh is recommended on average from 12-18 months after your initial procedure.

What is the after care?

After your procedure I’ll apply a barrier ointment on that you leave on for the day. You'll leave your appointment with an aftercare card explaining everything, a healing balm, and a foaming soap. My general rule of thumb is keeping the tattoo clean & hydrated until healed (a week or sooner). You MUST stay out of the sun, sauna, water, no excessive working out for at least 10 days. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade.

How do touch ups work?

After your first visit you might need a refreshing touch up if any areas didn't hold pigment. This service is offered any where from 4 to 12 weeks after your first visit. This is an extra $150 fee for returning clients only.

Does the microblading application hurt?

I have medical grade anesthetics which I used to make you as comfortable & pain free as possible. I use a topical anesthetic that is applied before the procedure & one during to continue the comfort.

How long is the recovery or healing time?

Your brows will appear darker the first day or two, after that time your brows will start to heal. The brows may feel a bit tight, but you may use the healing balm I give you as needed. Keeping them lightly hydrated speedup healing and  Everyone heals different but it takes about 7-10 days. Many heal much sooner. You may leave a bit red after your appointment but it is not anything too noticeable/uncomfortable.

How do you choose the shape?

At the beginning of your appointment we will discuss what you want your new brows to look like (pictures help as references). I will come up with a design shape specific to your wants & your bone structure. I will make measurements to make them as symmetrical & position them as much as possible.

How do you choose a color?

We choose a color that matches your natural brow hair. So remember if you tint your brows regularly you MUST tint them 2-3 days prior to your appointment. Also remember while choosing your color it will faded up to 50% after your first visit.

What types of pigments do you use?

I use all organic, hypoallergenic pigments which are made specifically for permanent cosmetics and microblading which all have iron oxides, distilled water, alcohol, glycerin and general colors that are found in all retail makeup.

Who is ineligible for microblading?

I do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nurshing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like ro-accutaine and steroids. If you are on blood thinners, ibprophen, or any medications that thin your blood this isn’t for you.

Can I get microblading over scars?

Yes, unless you have is a keloid scar this service is great for you. I do recommend if you have a scar just sending me a photo so I can look before you book an appointment.

Lash Extension Pre&Post Care

Try your best to arrive to your appointment without ANY eye makeup, oils, or moisturizers. Please do not curl your lashes or wear mascara the day before and the day of your appointment to help minimize the cleanup time and more time for lashing.

  • A good sign of when you need a refill is when your extensions are 50%-60% gone

  • The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise; no downtime after apt.

  • Do not go tanning for 24 hours after application

  • Please try to avoid sleeping on your stomach to ensure your lashes don't get permed the wrong way!

  • Use an oil-free eye makeup remover

  • Try not to run water directly on your lashes

  • Do not rub, pick or pull your eyes

  • If using mascara, use water based formulas

  • When applying mascara avoiding the root area.

  • Avoid using an eyelash curler

IF YOU CANNOT FULFILL PROPER AFTERCARE TREATMENT: It's recommended to please reschedule or postpone your appointment within the given cancellation policy. The healing period is as important as the procedure itself, and proper aftercare is essential to insure that your brows are flawless for you. Improper aftercare will lead to blurred, messed up brows that cannot be fixed.
